On the Street

Open Doors provide weekly outreach to Individuals who sell sex on the streets of Hackney.
Team members go out in a marked NHS car between the hours of 10pm and 2am on a Monday evening.
We distribute condoms, syringe packs, Information about services, safety advice, provide hot drinks and food.  Open Doors offer a limited service at night. Open Doors also deliver a Drop-In (open on Thursday between 10am-2pm) you can benefit from support and case management.

The kinds of services on offer are:

• Hot shower and clean clothes
• Cooked breakfast
• Free condoms
• Ordering new birth certificates
• Signing up for benefits
• Support t access housing/homeless services
• Substance misuse services are on site
• Support with Criminal Justice matters
• Same day access to screening and treatment for STI’s
• Support with housing, utility bill or debt problems
• A specialist worker who can help if you have been raped or sexually assaulted
• Workers who are knowledgeable and supportive if you are or need to be involved with Social Services.
