Hepatitis B vaccination

Hepatitis B is the only sexually transmitted infection that you can be vaccinated against.
It causes inflammation of the liver.
There is no cure for Hepatitis B but most people do recover if they have been in contact with it as they go on to develop their own immunity.

We can offer you a blood test to check whether you have been in contact with the virus before in our clinics or at your place of work.

If you would like to have this vaccination then we can give you a course of three injections over
4 -12 weeks.  The injection is in your arm and is safe to give as long as you are not feeling unwell with a fever.  Sometimes your arm can be left feeling a little sore after the injection but most people do not have any problems.
