Contraception allows you to choose when and if you want to become pregnant. Using another form of contraception as well as condoms means that you won’t become pregnant if a condom breaks.
Contraception is available from our clinics, most sexual health clinics, or from your GP. Some forms of contraception can also help you to control or stop your periods safely which may be very useful for you.
There are many different types of contraceptive methods. Choosing which suits you best is a personal thing. Lots of factors including your age, medical history, what’s happening in your life, can affect the choice you make.
We are always happy to discuss your contraceptive choices in your language.
We will use a telephone interpreter or face to face advocate in your language who will talk your options through with you.
